A lot of people have been telling us that life seems to be more serious and pressured than it used to be. There’s probably something in this – which is why you see so many posts on social media with cute pictures of cuddly kittens, or funny videos of daft dogs…anything to take our minds off all that other depressing stuff!
Sadly we appear to be all out of pictures of kittens…so here’s a pretty picture of some partying Piskies frolicking in a meadow instead. Still, it’s much more uplifting and cheery than the usual stuff everyone is so preoccupied with these days – the ongoing Brexit fiasco, the state of the health service, why we are so rubbish at taking penalties…whatever – wouldn’t you agree?
Why did we pick Piskies? Because, being long associated with Cornwall and the local folklore, we felt they were appropriate. That and we quite liked the picture, so we’re hoping you do too 🙂
Feeling better for that?
Then let’s make a brief return to the real world – but still keep it upbeat. Although there’s a lot of uncertainty around at the moment there’s no shortage of organisations and enterprises ignoring all the doom and gloom and quietly doing rather well by adopting a “business as usual” attitude. Why not join them by getting your 2020 off to a great start with Expowest Cornwall. The show will be happening on the 3rd – 5th of March 2020, so put the dates in your diary and be there, either as an exhibitor or as a visitor. Strategically placed before the start of the all-important summer season, it’s where Cornish businesses showcase their current products and services for the benefit of busy trade buyers keen to see, touch and taste the latest innovations.
We had a cracking show earlier this year, with great feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike, and 70% of stands are already booked up for next year! What’s more, Cornwall had a bumper summer season last year – in August a spokesperson from Visit Cornwall estimated that visitor numbers were up by about 20% on the usual 4.5 million visitors.
So, whatever else is going on, attending our show is a must for anyone that wants to capitalise on the excellent commercial opportunities that are there just waiting to be seized, along with fresh ideas, new contacts and lots of lovely food and drink to be enjoyed!

PS: OK, OK, so we couldn’t resist: here’s a picture of a cat and some fizz, just to celebrate the fact that we seem to be having some sort of a summer at the moment!
