With the cost of living crisis continuing, Expowest Cornwall 2024 will be as important for Cornish businesses as ever, if not even more so. With staycations continuing to boom, Cornwall looks set to continue to benefit from increased tourism, and the show is perfectly time to reconnect suppliers with the market, and to give buyers the chance to get the products and ideas they will need to be as profitable as possible through 2024. Once again suppliers large and small will showcase their latest products and services to 2000+ trade buyers. With a wealth of experience within our team of industry professionals we work closely with you from the time of booking to arriving at the show. We will endeavour to make the whole experience run smoothly.
We promote the show through direct mail, email, online & social media campaigns, advertising in key trade publications, local and national press coverage, telephone calls to buyers and face-to-face promotion at many UK events. Cornwall tourism – your opportunity.
It’s not hard to see how important tourism is for Cornwall. It’s one of the most popular holiday destinations in Great Britain, attracting an estimated five million visitors each year. 50% of the visitors stay for seven days and approximately 25% stay for fourteen days. There are in excess of 31,000 bed spaces available in serviced accommodation, plus more than 20,000 pitches/beds/units within the self- catering sector. Cornwall’s catering outlets also include over 1000 pubs and inns and over 750 restaurants and cafes.
Cornwall depends heavily on its successful tourist industry and the visitor economy can be as much as £2.4 billion (25% – 28% of Cornwall’s GDP) each year. Around 30 per cent of jobs in the duchy are based in the tourism and farming sectors. It’s a region that offers enormous sales potential for suppliers and service providers, and Expowest Cornwall maintains its long-standing position as one of the most successful regional shows in the country; presenting everything that’s new and innovative to the catering trade and hospitality industry.
The show has been great; it allows us to connect directly with the kind of clientele who are likely to purchase our products. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to network with the other exhibitors, share ideas, inspiration, and contacts. It’s a very social event and you meet lovely people.”.
